It's that time of the year where garden centers are in full swing and there are gorgeous plants everywhere. I shopped on a weekend, so many items had been picked over, but once I laid eyes on these babies, I was sold.
I chose perennials, in hopes that they'll come back year after year...despite the little tag that reads-annuals . These are miniature roses and although roses in general never been a favourite of mine in terms of flowers, I just couldn't resist how cute these ones were!
I picked up four pots. 2 white, 1 pink and another lighter pink. I wish they had coral-y shades, but they didn't. I'll be keeping an eye out.
They're mighty photogenic though, aren't they? I have this one set up as my desktop wallpaper.
I've recently taken a liking to lavender, so for a couple of dollars, I picked this one up. While it isn't the English variety (the kind used for ice creams, pastries and little sachets for your lingerie drawer, the kind I wanted to get), this Spanish/French lavender is just as pretty. This variety's oils are usually used in perfumes.
I still want English lavender.
I also got a small pot of rosemary, as my original plant didn't comeback after it's second year. Hopefully I'll have better luck with this one!
More rose pictures, because I just can't get enough of them.
What this post is basically telling you, is that I am basically an old lady at heart.
Oh, and espresso gelato for a midday pick me up. I finally got around to buy a box of sugar cones. They're so much tastier than their wafer counterparts!
