After pushing one of the cat face shaped treats through the foil, I let Tank take a sniff and she instantly went into "I want to chow down, give me, give me!!!!!!" mode. What an adorable little food monster.
Someone has a new favourite! Which means I can now make her do anything I want. She sometimes gets so excited that she'll swallow the treat whole, so I've started to break them in half. Licking every last crumb off my hand/floor/pants, nothing is out of limits.
Someone's waiting ever so patiently for me to shake hands with her.
She knows that shaking hands will result in treats, so now I have a cat who constantly follows me everywhere, sits around my feet and meows. More than usual. <3
The treats themselves smell like feet and cheese, probably from all the yeast that's in it. They're pretty darn stinky, but that's probably one of the reasons why Tank loves them so much. But then again I enjoy a nice stinky and aged cheese so I guess it's kind of the same thing with her. There's also not a lot of meat in them, if any and are flavoured salmon from hydrolyzed yeast and not the actual fish. I guess technically they are vegetarian. Although the packaging is cute, I do find it a bit wasteful. There are eight dime sized treats in the sample that was sent to us. I would personally like to see these packed in a small compressed recyclable paper box or even a reusable tin. Aside from all that though, these are cat friendly and Tank approved!
UPDATE: After consuming Cloud 9 cat treats for about a week now, it seems that she's developed a bit of an allergic reaction to them on her lower back. We're going to stop feeding these to her to see if it clears up.
