Elle Beauty Box, Fall 2013

Not too long ago I signed up to receive this complimentary beauty box from Elle Canada and four to six weeks later, this cute little packaged arrived at my doorstep! Take a peek at what was inside.

Cover Girl's new Clump Crusher Mascara, full size, which retails for about $8.00. The product is excellent with de-clumping lashes and allowing them to stand out individually, but in my opinion doesn't provide enough volume. I think that it's so good at crushing clumps by removing excess product, that it also sweeps off any volume collected on the lashes.

Perfect for those with naturally thick lashes, not so awesome for those looking for a good boost. As a fan of long, built up and fake looking lashes, this wasn't the product for me.

Cover Girl's Outlast Stay Brilliant Glosstini nail polish in Sangria. The colour is a bright red, which leans a little on the orange side with a slight pink frost mixed in. It has a jelly texture and needs about two medium coats for an opaque finish. It's relatively fast drying, applies smoothly and dries to a glossy finish as advertised. This is a fun summery shade and would look nice on all skin tones! These mini polishes retail for about $4.00 each.

I've been sampling these Crest 3D White Stripes for quite sometime now, on and off. They do a good job whitening, but I find that my teeth end up really sensitive if I use them too often. I use them, but wouldn't pay for them. A box of four packages retail for about $53.00. I love my Crest 3D White Luxe toothpaste and it keeps my chompers nice and bright.

Vidal Sassoon Repair shampoo and conditioner, are inexpensive hair products retailing at about $5.50 for a large 750mL bottle. I can't say I love it, but it cleans my hair and it leaves it smelling nice. The conditioner is decent, nothing to rave about. Over all not something I would pay full price for, but if I were feeling extra frugal and needed some shampoo and conditioner, I'd buy it. That is, if it was on sale and if I had a coupon and it ended up not costing me more than a dollar and a half. I wouldn't spend more than that on this product.

Some buy one get one coupons for razors/cartridges and shaving cream. I'm all stocked up and prefer to wax anyways, so I probably won't be using these!

Tank thought all of this was horrendously boring and decided to look out the window to spy on people instead. <3

Thanks Elle Canada for sending me this box! Looking forward to the next one.
