Look at this mess of a dinner. This is what happens when I'm sick and want to throw something together. I literally, throw.stuff.together and what better to cook in one pot than s'getty?! There's pasta, from the box (Thanks Catelli), sauce from a jar (Classico) and ground beef...from the grocery store, packaged and ready to go. Parmesan cheese from the container, optional.
I'm sure even a 7 year old could make this, so I leave you to look at my messy plate of "it tastes better than it looks" spaghetti dinner. We ate greens on the side. Being sick is no excuse for lack of GREENS!!!
I would also like to add that pasta is awesome the next day. Many would disagree, but heating up a pan with a little olive oil makes a hell of a difference compared to nuking it in the microwave. I love the microwave, but there's something about cooking pasta left overs on the stove that makes it super yummy. It's a texture thing.
If you're thinking my cold has made me crazy, you're wrong. Try it if you haven't already. As I said, heat your pan (I prefer non-stick) to medium-high, add a good drizzle of olive oil and add your pasta (with cheese) in. Toss it a couple times, making sure the pasta covers the bottom of the pan. Then LEAVE IT ALONE for about five minutes. You'll get the most wonderful crust on the bottom! Toss again and leave for another five minutes. Consume.
You're welcome.
