After mildly pigging out on samples, Rich and I decided to take a walk around the Harbourfront. Crazy clouds were starting to roll in (again) and we knew that the indoor venues at the Veg.Festival would be packed with people and people with little children and people pushing gigantic strollers. I love kids and babies and all, but when its crowded, strollers hurt ankles and children wipe their grimy hands on people's pants. So not cool!

Lake Ontario between the Harbourfront theater and Center Island |

There were some pretty good looking boats! Kind of jealous. |
Lights. At this point, we were getting hungry again and returned to the festival. It hadn't rained yet, but we knew it was coming! |
The vegan guy, decked out in a broccoli necklace, short shorts with "vegan" printed on his bum and well, I suggested Rich dress like this on on a daily basis. If not, perhaps on Halloween. |

Man selling young coconuts, lopping the tops off to access the water inside. |
Diaya cheese booth! I've said before, that I couldn't become vegan, because I can't live without cheese.
Well, I might not have a reason anymore. This stuff is good! Though I would still miss goat cheese and stinky old blue cheese... ;) |

Vega, vegan protein supplements. |
King's Cafe food stand, selling lots of faux nuggets, shrimp, skewards of all sorts and vegan "dim dum"! |
The crowds were thinning out a bit. See where the World Café is? That's were we headed. |
We headed to King's Café and shared this massive plate of food! |
From top, clockwise: steamed vegetables with 'duck', stir fried noodles, coconut 'lamb' curry with pumpkin, turnip cake, spring roll and an un-chicken drumstick. $9 |
There food was good, but like most Chinese (take out) foods, it was on the greasy side. I could make better! |
We saw a lot of people ordering vegan tacos and nachos. They looked heavenly! In our bellies next time, for sure. |
Oink. |
No such a hot day for sailing, in my opinion! |
I love dramatic clouds |
and I love birds that don't poop on me. |
...to be continued.
