Pho88: Iced Vietnamese coffee! If you haven't had this before, go try it. So good! |
Pho88: Fried spring rolls (Cha Gio), served with a nuoc cham sauce (not pictured). They look kind of like turds here, but I assure you they are totally delish! |
Train: Pho with beef balls and sliced beef (Pho Bo Vien). I used to hate the beansprouts and basil, but I've learned to love it. Mmm |
Train: My papa's dish, grilled lemongrass pork chop, steamed egg and rice (Com Suron Bi Cha) |
Clearly these were two different meals, from two different restaurants, but I decided to merge them into one because...two yummy Vietnamese food posts is great, but one with both in it makes it super awesome. Haha, or maybe it's because prior to my visit to Pho88, I had already eaten a huge dinner and only wanted coffee and a couple pieces of spring rolls.
The second restaurant we went to was Train (XeLua) which is just 5 minutes away from my house. It's always been tasty and service has always been super fast! I got my usual pho noodles and had a bite of my dad's grilled pork/egg dish then I wondered why I never order their rice platters...which inspired me to make this dish myself. Stay tuned!
