Thanks to Proctor and Gamble, for sending me samples of the new Downy UnStopables! I've seen the commercials for it and always thought it was silly to add "in wash scent boosters" when my laundry detergent already smells pretty awesome. Like, why would I want to spend extra money (they retail for about $10 for a 375g bottle) on smellies for my clothing? I was curious none the less.
The scent boosters are little opaque blue/green dots. They're a bit waxy and to me, look like candy! I was only sent the Fresh scent, so I can't tell you which one smells better (the other scent is Lush) but it really does smell...clean and crisp! Yum!
Well, I tested these Dippin Dot lookin things last Thursday. That's just over a week ago and it's now time for a sniff test. I had high hopes for these cute little bits of fragrance. The shirt I washed and wore about two times, unfortunately did not "wow" me when sniffed and the scent did not last any longer than when I'm not using Downy UnStopables. I even added the whole package! Maybe I was supposed to use two? Nah... I will say that during the wash cycle, the house smelled wonderful! They say, "It's freshness that stays feisty until the next wash"...unless you wash your clothing every other day, it doesn't work that well. Who does that?! Not me. Pros? They came out of the washer smelling stronger. But it quickly faded after one wear.
Would I buy these? Nope. Would I still use them in the wash? Sure, until I run out! If I change my mind about these, I'll update. I doubt it though!
