A basket of failures
The recipe mentioned in my last post, called for the dough to be baked. I was so, so, so excited to finally be able to make baked donuts that were healthier than the fried-in-a-vat-of-oil variety. Alas.. it was a huge failure. I had high hopes! They did indeed turn bread like- no quite a bagel (bagels are boiled, chewier, denser etc.) but it definitely was not donut texture. Boo. Though if you much on them with a pat or two of butter, they do taste quite nice...
Who am I kidding?! If you add butter to anything it's oughta taste fab.
Batch two in the mini oven, I was still hopeful at this point. :(
